摘要

Abstract

The parameter of ″photon quantity″ is used in the ultraviolet imaging method to character the discharge intensity, and can be read out in the instrument directly. This parameter exists the complex nonlinear relationship between the observation distance and gain setting of instrument,so it is difficult to perform the quantitative analysis for the discharge. To overcome the above problem,it is necessary to study a new quantization parameter to character the discharge characteristics. The output signal of the ultraviolet imager is shown as video or image form,which carries a large amount of information reflecting the discharging characteristics,such as the discharge position,discharge approximate shape,discharge point quantity and size of the discharge area. In the ultraviolet image,the discharge performance is presented as a few white areas(spot area). On this basis,a new ul?traviolet quantization parameter is proposed,in which the image processing method is used to extract the relevant image parame?ters to character the discharge process in the surface of the insulator.
