Abstract
Surface property of polypropylene oxide quaternary ammonium salt (PO- 4QA and PO- 8QA) with the average aggregation number of propylene oxide (PO) for 4 and 8 in aqueous solutions were investi⁃gated using static surface tension test (ring method). Aggregation behavior of PO- 4QA and PO- 8QA mole⁃cules in water was investigated by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and negative- stained transmission electron microscopy (NS- TEM) techniques. The results showed that 2 kinds of polypropylene oxide quaternary ammoni⁃um salt had high surface activity. PO- 4QA could form globular aggregates of bimodal size distribution, and PO- 8QA could be gathered to form vesicles in water.关键词
