Abstract
Objective To explore the characteristics of high density lipoprotein cholesterol ( HDL-C ) metabo-lism in rheumatoid arthritis patients and analyze the correlation between HDL-C level and disease activity . Methods Eighty-six RA patients were chosen as objects .Differences of HDL-C levels between active RA group ( the study group , n=56 ) and non-active RA group ( the control group , n=30 ) were com-pared.Then Pearson linear regression was adopted to analyze the correlation between HDL-C level and CRP and ESR in active RA patients.Results Serum high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) lev-el of active RA patients was significantly lower than that of non-active RA patients ( P<0.001 ) .Serum HDL-C level of active RA patients was negatively correlated with the level of CRP and ESR ( r =-0.302 , P<0.05; r=-0.273 , P≤0.05 ) .Conclusions HDL-C level of active RA patients is re-duced and is closely related to disease activity of RA .Aggressive control the inflammation and disease ac-tivity of RA and initiate interventions on lipid profile are of great importance for the prevention of cardio-vascular adverse events in RA patients .关键词
