Aeroelastic Model Design and Dynamic Characteristics Analysis of Typical Transmission Towers

Abstract
When wind acts on the transmission tower,the aerodynamic instability and vibration of transmission tower often occur.This phenomenon may threaten the safety and reduce the service ability of the transmission lines.In this paper,the aeroelastic model of the typical transmission towers is designed by a new method based on the structural dynamics similarity principle to investigate the wind-induced response of the transmission towers.Then,the dynamic characteristics of the aeroelastic model are analyzed by finite element analysis software and a measurement system,and the accuracy of the aeroelastic model is proved.Finally,the wind tunnel test of the model is performed with different wind speeds and wind directions.The results show that the wind-induced response of the model increases with the increasing of the wind speed,and the response in the Y-direction is significant.According to the test results,the characteristics of the wind-induced response and the dynamic performance of the typical transmission tower are obtained,which can be applied as references to anti-wind design and upgrade of the transmission towers.关键词
