Abstract
The cuprous oxide/zinc oxide( Cu2 O/ZnO) microstructure were prepared by a mild solution strate-gy. The integration of polymorphic Cu2 O with wurtzite ZnO is a facile approach of elevating photocatalytic ac-tivity toward methyl orange degradation. The morphology and photocatalytic activity were investigated by adjus-ting Cu2+/Zn2+ ratio. Nearly 77. 5% of methyl orange was photodegradated over Cu2 O/ZnO photocatalyst after 5. 5 h light irradiation. The potential photodegradation mechanism was demonstrated by designing a pseudo cell comprised of polymorphic Cu2O/ZnO anode, Pt counter electrode and sandwiched methyl orange solution.关键词
