Effects of Laparoscopic Nephron-sparing Renal Tumor Resection and Radical Nephrectomy on Postoperative Renal Function and Life Quality of Patients with Renal Cell Carcinoma

Abstract
Objective To compare effects between laparoscopic nephron-sparing renal tumor resection and radical nephrectomy on postoperative renal function and life quality of patients with renal cell carcinoma. Methods A total of 93 pa-tients with renal cell carcinoma admitted between March 2011 and May 2014 were divided into group A undergoing laparoscop-ic nephron-sparing surgery (n=45) and group B undergoing laparoscopic radical nephrectomy (n=48) according to different surgical methods. Related indexes of operation, indexes of postoperative recovery and laboratory examinations, scores of quali-ty of life ( QOL) and recurrence and survival conditions were observed and compared in two groups. Results Compared with those in group B, in group A, values of operative time, intraoperative bleeding volume and hospitalization stay were signifi-cantly higher (P<0. 05); postoperative level of urine creatinine, QOL scores in postoperative 1st, 3rd and 6th months were significantly higher (P<0. 05). During 1 years of follow-up after discharge, there were 1 patient lost in group A, and 2 pa-tients lost in group B, and no recurrent was found in two groups. At the end of follow-up after discharge, survival rates were 97. 7% and 91. 3% in group A and B respectively, but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0. 05). Conclu-sion Laparoscopic nephron-sparing renal tumor resection can mitigate the effect on renal function and improve postoperative QOL in treatment of patients with renal cell carcinoma compared with those by laparoscopic radical nephrectomy.关键词
