An Analysis on Influential Factors of Prognosis for Patients with Osteosarcoma

Abstract
Objective To investigate influential factors of prognosis for patients with osteosarcoma. Methods A to-tal of 95 patients with osteosarcoma admitted during January 2008 and July 2015 were recruited in this study. Possibly influen-tial factors of prognosis such as gender, age, tumor site, operative process and nutrition level were extracted, and overall sur-vival rate was calculated by Kaplan-Meier method. The univariate analysis was performed by LogRank test, while the multiva-riate analysis was performed by multielement Cox regression model. Results The 95 patients were followed-up for 13-90 months, and the average follow-up time was 41. 3 months. During follow-up, 67 patients died, and 28 patients were survival. Median follow-up time was 39 months. The 3 and 5 years of overall survival rates were 52. 6% and 33. 7% respectively. Uni-variate analysis showed that the prognosis of patients with osteosarcoma was closely correlated with tumor site, nutrition level, alkaline phosphatase level, tumor stage and pathological fracture ( P <0. 05 ) . The multielement COX regression analysis showed that tumor site and pathological fracture were independently risk factors, while nutrition level was independently pro-tection factor of affecting prognosis for patients with osteosarcoma (P<0. 05). Conclusion Tumor site and pathological frac-ture are independently risk factors, while nutrition level is independently protection factor of affecting prognosis for patients with osteosarcoma.关键词
