摘要

Abstract

Objective To investigate the dynamic changes and clinical significance of ALDH2 activity in acute myocardi-al infarction( AMI) patients with wild-type ALDH2 gene. Methods 335 patients analyzed by ALDH2 gene chip were selected,in-cluding 156 cases of AMI patients and 179 cases of non-coronary heart disease patients. ALDH2 gene polymorphism and relation-ships between different genotypes and AMI,ALDH2 activity as well as ALDH2 activity and myocardial infarction area were ana-lyzed. Results As for ALDH2 polymorphism,GG type(206 cases,61. 5%)was more than GA type(115 cases,34. 3%)which was more thanAA type(14cases,4. 2%)(P<0. 05). As formorbidity of AMI,AA type patients(64. 3%)were higher than GA type pa-tients(57. 4%)which werehigher than GG type patients(39. 3%)(P<0. 01). ALDH2 activity of AMI group in GG type patients was(59. 7 ± 14. 3 U/L),(93. 5 ± 21. 3 U/L)and(51. 4 ± 14. 7 U/L),12h,24h and 48h after attack,higher than those of the con-trol group,(20. 6 ± 4. 8 U/L),(23. 8 ± 5. 7 U/L)and(23. 2 ± 5. 9 U/L)(P<0. 01),respectively. As for average of total ALDH2 activity of 12h,24h and 48h after AMI in GG type patients,patients with AMI area larger than 15% were lower than patients with AMI area smaller than 15%,(189. 3 ± 32. 5U/L)to(241. 4 ± 46. 7U/L). Pearson correlation analysis showed that AMI area nega-tively correlated to total ALDH2 activity of 12h,24h and 48h after AMI(r=-0. 516,P<0. 05). Conclusions The ALDH2 activity of patients with wild-type ALDH2 gene changesdramatically when AMI attacks. The higher ALDH2 activity is,the smaller the myo-cardial infarction area will be,which can be used as one of the clinical indicators to analyze the disease conditions and assess the prognosis.
