Abstract
Converters consisting of power electronics may generate harmonics and inter-harmonics in power systems; thereby exert adverse effects, such as pseudo-oscillation, on phasor measurement. To solve this problem, this paper presented a method to identify whether an oscillation is a pseudo oscillation because of measurement errors, or a real oscillation actually happened in real power system. If power system frequency deviated from its rated value, and sampling theorem was not satisfied, higher harmonics above Nyquist frequency would be mapped symmetrically as inter-harmonics under Nyquist frequency in the sampling signal. Under certain conditions, the mapped inter-harmonics would be close to fundamental frequency, resulting in pseudo-oscillations of phasor measurement results. The pseudo-oscillation frequency was the difference between fundamental frequency and inter-harmonics frequency. Concerned with DC converter station, coordination principle for sampling frequency and characteristic harmonics was given. Simulation examples and actual examples were given to verify the analysis conclusion.关键词
