摘要

Abstract

To study the bearing capacity and design methods for GFRP-reinforced concrete T beams, formulas of bearing capacity were derived by referring to existing theories of GFRP-reinforced concrete rectangular beams and reinforced concrete T beams. It is different from the methods of reinforced concrete beams, the balanced reinforcement ratio is the key to judge the failure mode and carry out the subsequent calculations for GFRP- reinforced concrete beams. Using these formulas with several groups of calculations, the bearing capacity of GFRP-reinforced concrete T beams was taken cross-comparison by considering three different section situations. The above calculation formulas also reflect that because the modulus of elasticity of GFRP bars is relatively low and thus the balanced reinforcement ratio is the same way. Besides, the cross-section for reinforced concrete beams always does not meet the range of balanced damage of GFRP-reinforced concrete beams, which also cannot meet the bearing capacity. The results is consistent with the calculated results also verified the correctness of these formulas on the other hand.
