Multi-Port Interface Technique and Application of Electromagnetic and Electromechanical Transient Hybrid Real-Time Simulation

Abstract
In this paper, the multi-port interface equivalent circuit model of the electromechanical system for hybrid real time simulation is proposed, and the external system equivalent impedance parameter extraction and its correction method in case of the unequal positive and negative sequence impedance are presented as well. The error mechanism in multi-port hybrid simulation is analyzed, then the advanced accuracy improvement techniques including the Thevenin voltage linear estimation and the varying-time step interaction methods are proposed. In order to overcome the 'dimension disaster' resulting from modelling the significantly increasing number of ports, the multi-port decoupling and self-organization competitive neural network based port clustering methods are employed. Further, the multi-port interface technique is implemented in RTDS using user-defined CBuilder blocks. Finally, the hybrid real time simulation test systems of a certain regional power network and a complex hybrid AC/DC system including seven HVDC links are used to test all the proposed approaches, the hybrid simulation results are compared with the electromagnetic transient model which validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed solutions.关键词
