Visible-light Photocatalytic Performance for the Degradation of Microcystin-LR in Water with Mn Doped TiO2 Nanomaterial

Abstract
The effect of visible-light photocatalytic degradation of Microcystin-LR in water with Mn doped TiO2 nanomaterial photocatalyst synthesized by a sol-gel method,and their reation dynamic mechanism was researched in this paper.The results showed that,with the increase of MC-LR initial concentration in water,the reaction rate was decreasing.A degradation rate was achieved almost 100%,and mineralization rate 50.87%,after 12 h with 0.2 g · L-1 of Mn-TiO2 when the initial concentration of MC-LR is 0.1 mg · L-1.The photocatalytic degradation process followed pseudo-first order kinetics withthe reaction rate constant of 0.132 0 h-1,as well as the mineralization rate constant of 0.047 5 h-1.FT-IR analysis confirmed that,the MC-LR photocatalysis process was the synergy of adsorption and chemical oxidation degradation.The visible-light photocatalytic degradation of Microcystin-LR in water with Mn doped TiO2 nanomaterial photocatalyst can become an high efficiency and energy saving new method.关键词
