摘要

Abstract

The acute toxicity and genotoxicity tests of the strain from the white-rot fungi were carried out for the purpose on testing its edible safety as a new functional food.The oral acute toxicity test revealed that the LD50 of the white-rot fungi was 6.76 g/kg in mice.The results of genotoxicity tests were all negative,including micronucleus test and sperm shape abnormality test.The test results indicated that the white-rot fungi showed certain acute toxicity but no genotoxicity.Thus,the white-rot fungi was safe at a certain range of dose and had the potential for the development in functional foods.
