Abstract
The overall operational situation of a port is based on obj ective factors and subj ective factors.In this work,the concept of port attractiveness was analyzed,starting with the hypothesis that subj ective and obj ective factors impacting the development of port could be quantified,based on the Port Attractiveness Index data of 23 ports in 2014,and which of Fujian ports were particu-larly analyzed.The structural relationships among the three sets of determinants were investigated to find out their impacts on port attractiveness.The results indicated that subj ective factors are in-deed influential variables for port attractiveness.Moreover,by examining port attractiveness and investment strategies,it was concluded that government of Fuj ian Province should implement soft infrastructure as a first step rather than investing in hard infrastructures.关键词
