Abstract

Objective To optimize the preparation of paeonol-β-cyclodextrin inclusion complex. Methods Usingβ-cyclodextrin as inclusion material, the paeonol-β-cyclodextrin was prepared by ultrasonic method and the preparing method was by central composite design. With the mass ratio of β-cyclodextrin/paeonol, inclusion temperature and time as the independent variables and the inclusion rate as the dependent variable, the binomial and linear equations were fitted respectively to the data, to optimizate and test the best prescription process. Results The fitting of second-order quadratic model was high, and the correlation coefficient was 0.951. The optimum conditions for the preparation of paeonol-β-cyclodextrin inclusion complex were as follows: β-cyclodextrin/paeonol of 8:1, inclusion temperature at 38 ℃, inclusion time of 42min. The deviation between the result of best craft verification test and the binomial fitting equation forecast value was less than 5%. Conclusion Central composite design and response surface methodology is successfully used to optimize the preparation technology of paeonol-β-cyclodextrin inclusion complex. The optimized process is scientific and feasible.
