Abstract

The seeds of wheat variety Shangmai 5226 were treated with different concentrations of aqueous extracts from maize straw, the seed germination rate and the related physiological indexes of wheat seedlings were measured and analyzed, and the allelopathic effects of the aqueous extracts from maize straw on Shangmai 5226 were studied.The results showed that the aqueous extract from maize straw had an obvious allelopathic effect on the growth of Shangmai 5226.When the concentration of aqueous extract from maize straw was 0.04, 0.07 or 0.10 g/mL, its integrated allelopathic effect on the growth and development of wheat all performed an inhibitory effect (M=-1.023,-0.554 and-1.268).When the concentration of aqueous extract from maize straw was 0.01 g/mL, its integrated allelopathic effect was promoting effect (M=0.517).The 0.10 mg/mL aqueous extract from maize straw had the strongest allelopathic inhibitory effect on the growth and development of Shangmai 5226.The integrated allelopathic effect of different concentrations of maize straw aqueous extracts on the MDA, soluble sugar and free proline content in Shangmai 5226 seedlings showed the following order: 0.10>0.04>0.07>0.01 g/mL.
