Abstract
Objective To explore the correlations between dysglycemia and dyslipidemia and diabetic ophthalmoplegia. Methods 39 patients with diabetic ophthalmoplegia paralysis were enrolled from Neurology Department of Beijing Tongren Hospital. 40 healthy subjects served as control group. Glucose metabolism biomarkers (HbA1c,FPG,2hPBG) and lipid metabolism biomarkers (TG,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C) were compared between the two groups. Results HbA1c, FPG and 2hPGB levels were significantly higher in diabetic ophthalmoplegia patients. Lipid metabolism biomarkers analysis showed that TG,TC and LDL-C levels were significantly higher,while HDL-C level was lower in patients. Correlation analysis suggested that TG and TC was positively correlated with HbA1c. Conclusions Glucose and lipidmetabolism abnormality are risk factors in diabetic patients,leading to ophthalmic complications. Therapies to control blood glucose and to improve serum lipids profile in diabetic patients would prevent ophthalmoplegia.关键词
