Application of Nursing Project in Reducing Postoperative Diarrhea Rate of Gastric Cancer Patients with Enhanced Recovery after Surgery

Abstract
Objective To reduce postoperative diarrhea rate of gastric cancer patients with Enhanced Recovery after Surgery (ERAS) by implementing nursing project. Methods A nursing project team was established, and the theme of nursing project was extracted after analyze the rehabilitation of 40 gastric cancer patients with ERAS from December 2015 to February 2016. Then, after root analysis and problem identification, countermeasures were formulated and implemented. And then the project was applied in 43 gastric cancer patients underwent ERAS from April 2016 to June 2016. Before and after the implementation of project, the rate of diarrhea, length of stay and other indicators of patients between two groups were compared. Results After the implementation of the project, the diarrhea rate in gastric cancer patients with ERAS decreased from 58% to 19%. Conclusion For gastric cancer patients with ERAS, nursing project is conducive to reducing the diarrhea rate and promoting the rehabilitation of patients.关键词
