Abstract

In order to solve the guided bombs'optimal trajectory problem of attacking quickly a fixed target,a trajectory optimization method based on the Gauss pseudospectral method is presented.The control system of a guided bomb is simplified into a first-order inertial system,the virtual control variable is introduced as the control variables.In order to meet the requirements of the bomb'.s structure and attack targets,the flight time of a guided bomb is taken into the performance index,the optimization model for the trajectory of the guided bombs is established which includ the process constraint and the end constraint.The control variables and state variables in the equations is discretized by the Gauss pseudospectral method,and the model is transformed into a non-linear programming(NLP)problem which is solved by the sequential quadratic programming(SQP).The results are verified by the co-state mapping theorem and the first order necessary optimality conditions.Compared with the conventional maximum lift-to-drag ratio method,the Gauss pseudospectral method can not only improve the range of the guided bomb,but also optimize the time of the bomb flight.The optimized time is shortened by more than 9.3%.
