摘要
Abstract
This paper took the 10 cities and Yangling demonstration area in Shaanxi Province as subject investigated, it was applied the ArcGIS software and the statistics-assisted threshold to extract 14 periods urban land based on the DMSP/OLS night light data of from the year 2000 to 2013. From the perspective of spatial scales, spatial patterns and expansion types, it analyzed the Shaanxi province urban expansion in the recent 14 years. The study showed that the urban land area in Shaanxi experienced a continuing growth from the year 2000 to 2013 and demonstrated a trend of accelerating growth over time. Besides, the results signified that many emerging small towns appeared from the year 2000 to 2013 in the process of urbanization, whereas the expansion of the original urban area was the dominant factor of the urban land area increased in this period. The change of extraction threshold value of each city had certain regularity, which could reflect the types of urban expansion.关键词
