SHAO Ying's Experience of Tuina in Treating Cough in Children

摘要
Abstract
This paper believed that cough in children is mainly due to "dysfunction of lung qi",which can be categorized into two aspects:one is dysfunction of lung qi in dispersing and descending ,leading to cough caused by reverse flow of lung qi;the other refers to failure of lung qi in clearing away the airways ,or with hidden phlegm,or wind evil,or fire evil,leading to cough in children. In clinical treatment,professor SHAO insisted on relieving cough,resolving phlegm and promoting qi circulation methods. Tuina for children combined with traditional Chinese medicine and diet therapy had good effects in the treatment of excessive phlegm and stubborn phlegm. Professor SHAO broke the complicated syndrome classification in Chinese medicine and divided cough in children into two types (dry cough with phlegm and damp cough without phlegm) and developed the corresponding tuina prescriptions distinctively,associated with Chinese medicine and diet therapy,getting a satisfied outcome in clinical practice. The typical medical case was listed to share the experience with peers.关键词
