Abstract
Objective To explore the surgical treatment strategy for floating shoulder injury and the postoperative functional recovery of the shoulder joint.Methods From Feb 2008 to Jun 2014,a total of 24 patients with floating shoulder injury treated,including 2 cases of type ⅠA,2 cases of type Ⅰ B,5 cases of type Ⅱ,10 cases of type ⅢA,and 5 cases of type Ⅲ B.All the patients were treated by open reduction and internal fixation with reconstruction of soft tissue.Postoperative,the patients were retrospectively reviewed for clinical and radiographic outcomes.At the final follow-up,the shoulder joint function of patients were accessed by ASES grading standard.Results All the cases followed up from 6 to 24 months with the mean time of (14.2±6.4) months.All fractures and dislocations obtained clinical union,ranging form 4 to 8 months (average 5.2±3.4 months).No complications such as vessel and nerve injuries,fracture and exit of implants.The good and fine rate was 87.5％ according to the ASES grading standard.Conclusion Open reduction and rigid internal fixation was a good choice for the treatment of floating shoulder injury,which restore the integrity and stability of the Superior shoulder suspensory complex (SSSC) and benefit for postoperative early functional exercise.关键词
