Ethical controversy on multifetal pregnancy reduction
摘要
Abstract
With the popularization of assisted reproductive technology,multiple pregnancy rate is significantly increased,and multifetal pregnancy reduction (MFPR) is widely used due to the related risks of multiple pregnancy.MFPR has been proven to be a safe and effective method for improving the outcome of multiple pregnancies,but it is an invasive medical measures.The related ethical controversy has always been existed,including the ethical issues related to the right to live of the fetus,fetal sex selection,the related laws and regulations and the related religious issues.Moreover,with the development of technology,new controversy is still emerging.This article summarizes the relevant ethical controversies in MFPR.关键词
