摘要

Abstract

The super-hydrophobic modification of polypropylene hollow fiber membranes for membrane distillation can im-prove the quality of membrane distillation products and increase the service life of membrane modules. The sol was prepared by adding silica particles into a polypropylene solution by a sol-gel method. The sol was coated onto the surface of the polypropylene hollow fiber membrane by a phase separation method using a polypropylene hol-low fiber membrane as a base. The coated hollow fiber membranes were modified with 1H, 1H, 2H, 2H-perflu-orooctyltriethoxysilane with low surface energy. And the experiment of membrane distillation of super-hydropho-bic polypropylene hollow fiber membrane was carried out. The results shows that the contact angle of the super-hydrophobic hollow fiber membrane prepared by using 0.3 g of silica and 0.7 g of polypropylene was 157 °. The experimental results showed that the flux of the super-hydrophobic polypropylene hollow fiber membrane was 216.96 g/(m2·h) in 3.5%sodium chloride solution at 60℃, and the rejection increased from 91%to 99%. So the super-hydrophobic modification of polypropylene hollow fiber membrane can significantly increase the membrane distillation flux and rejection rate.
