Modern Construction Project Community of Rural Settlement and Social Network Analysis Model

Abstract
Engineering community is a new and rapidly growing research field of engineering construction and management. The modern construction project community of rural settlement plays a guiding role in the new countryside construction in China. The paper proposed the concept of"construction project community of rural settlement" and analyzed its evolution, and then studied the basic attributes, classification and characteristics of it. Based on the social network structure analysis, the paper built the social network analysis model of construction project community of rural settlement. The model included three modules: social investigations of community, relation matrix construction and network diagram plotting, and network characteristic indexes evaluation. The paper proposed four evaluation indexes: degree centrality, betweenness centrality, closeness centrality and Katz index. Based on the long-term and in-depth investigation by authors, the paper took Yanhe village as an example to build the social network analysis model of construction project community of rural settlement by using the software UCINET. The paper also evaluated the practical effect and optimizing strategy of this community, which verified the applicability of the social network analysis model.关键词
