摘要

Abstract

A cow suffering a suspected blood protozoosis was diagnosed by conventional blood smear microscopy and PCR techniques in Tacheng,Xinjiang.The 18S rRNA gene was amplified using universal primers and cloned.The sequence identities were analyzed with among the 18S rRNA gene sequences of Theileria and Babesia reference strains from GenBank,and phylogenetic tree was constructed to determine the parasite species.The results of blood smear test showed that circular or oval parasites with the typical characteristics of bovine Theileria annulata were found in red blood cells.Identification of molecular biology showed that 18S rRNA gene of Tacheng strain shared 99% identities with the nucleotide sequences of T.Annulata from French and southern Europe.Phylogenetic analysis based on 18S rRNA genes confirmed that the Tacheng strain has close relationship with the French strain and southern Europe strain of T.annulata.The result indicated that the infected species in the cow was confirmed to be T.annulata.
