Design and Application of a New Nasogastric Tube
摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore the design and application processes of a new nasogastric tube. Methods One-way valves were made at the lower hole and the lateral hole which was 45 centimeters from the lower hole in the new nasogastric tube respectively. When gastrointestinal decompression was needed, the one-way valves in the lower hole was shut while the one-way valves in the lateral hole was open; when the enteral nutrition was needed, the one-way valves in the lower hole was open while the one-way valves in the lateral hole was shut. Results Using one nasogastric tube instead of the traditional two nasogastric tubes and the nose-jejunum nutrition tube, this new nasogastric tube was convenient and effective. It facilitated enteral nutrition and gastrointestinal decompression at the same time, which relieved suffering of patients. While patients were effectively decompressed, their perioperative nutrition status was improved at the same time, thus achieved good clinical effect. Conclusion The new nasogastric tube enlarges the application range for it is convenient to dwell and use. Meanwhile, it improves patients' life quality and accelerates quick recovery, which is worth to be widely applied.关键词
