A Local Control Method of Multi-machine Low Frequency Oscillation Based on Active Disturbance Rejection Control

Abstract
Low frequency oscillation is a serious threat to the security and stability of power system,the main performance of low frequency oscillation is weak (negative) damping oscillation and forced oscillation.Aiming to suppress power system oscillations,a multi-objective nonlinear control method based on active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) was proposed,and the control was adopted to suppress multi-machine power system low frequency oscillation using local measurements.Firstly,the basic theory of ADRC was introduced,and the observation ability of the extended state observer (ESO) to the low frequency oscillation was researched.Secondly,the power system model with excitation and speed control was established by using the nonlinear model of the power system according to differential geometry linearization method and the control method combined with the multi-performance index nonlinear control and ADRC was proposed.Finally,the 4-machine 2-area system and new England 10 machine system cases were proposed to verify the effectiveness of this method.Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed method has a good ability to suppress low-frequency oscillation.关键词
