Research on the UHVDC Control Optimization Schemes for Mitigating Temporary Overvoltage When Shedding Load in Islanded Operation Mode

Abstract
The level of fundamental frequency temporary overvoltage mathematical equation was derived for severe overvoltage problem of Yunnan-Guangdong UHVDC load shedding in islanded operation mode.The variation law of the overvoltage times in different effective short-circuit ratios (ESCR),and the influence of the power drop rate on the voltage variation under different ESCR conditions were analyzed.Blocking sequence control logic in pole control part and VDCL control logic optimization schemes based on the existing system were proposed.Verification simulation studies were carried out on the grid-unit coordination control real time simulation platform which connected with the real replicas of UHVDC control protection system and generator controls.The simulation results proved the effectiveness of the optimization schemes.关键词
