Relationship between psychological capital and life event among school children

Abstract
Objective To test the level of psychological capital and negative life events among school children, and to analyze the correlation between them and to provide the basis for effective health intervention. Methods Adolescent Self-Rating Life Events Checklist and Psychological Capital Questionnaire were conducted on 1100 students by convenient, random, stratified and cluster sampling method. Results The total score of psychological capital, confidence dimension and the total score of negative life events, interpersonal relationship, learning pressure, punishment, health adaptation and the other five dimensions were negative correlation, the correlation coefficient were -0.217 to -0.092. Toughness dimension was negative correlation with the total score of negative life events, interpersonal relationship, learning pressure, health adaptation and the other four dimensions, the correlation coefficient were -0.189 to -0.073. The score of psychological capital of students with different level life events was different. Multiple regression results were obtained, confidence dimension was the control variable of life event and its dimensions. Conclusions Psychological capital is related to self-assessment of life events severity, individualized intervention provides experiencing different life events, and improves the psychological capital of students can enhance their ability to cope with life events.关键词
