Analysis of epidemic characteristics of new pneumoconiosis cases reported in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from 2006 to 2012

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the epidemic characteristics and regularity of pneumoconiosis reported in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, so that to put forward the prevention and control measures, and provide technical reference for relevant departments to formulate plans for prevention and control of occupation disease.Methods: Data of pneumoconiosis in Xinjiang area from 2006 to 2012 were obtained by occupation disease case reporting system, and then they were imported into Excel 2007 spreadsheet; finally, using single-factor analysis of variance to analyze the effect results of these factors, such as the proportion, age, exposure time and the types of work of these cases.Results: The mainly kinds of pneumoconiosis at Xinjiang area were coal worker's pneumoconiosis, silicosis and cement pneumoconiosis. Average exposure time for all reports of pneumoconiosis and average age of these patients was (17.9±9.4) years, (54.4±13.6) years old, respectively. There were statistically significant differences for the average exposure work age (F=21.56,P<0.01) and the average age of onset for these patients (F=75.63,P<0.01) among three main pneumoconiosis.Conclusion: It can be seen, 10 to 25 years exposed in dust is the highest incidence period; therefore, special attention should be paid to occupation health care at this stage. A large part of the new pneumoconiosis patients were found before or after the retired, therefore, it is important to carry out follow-up health examination before and after the retirement of workers who work on the dust. Besides, more attention and protection methods should be focused on dust drilling workers.关键词
