Abstract
Objective To explore of the current situation and development trend of higher pharmaceutical education in China. Methods The phases, modes, layout and characteristics of pharmacy education in China were analyzed from three aspects:the mode of higher pharmacy education in developed countries, the current situation of higher pharmacy education and the development trend of higher pharmacy edu-cation in China; the shortcomings and suggestions were also proposed. Results The developed countries formed a complete system of clinical pharmacists training and continuing education system to promote the clinical pharmacy work and to ensure the rational use of drugs in clinical development. China′s higher pharmacy education experienced the ″connotation development″ model, i. e., the ″extended development″ model, which was still at the development stage of meeting the needs. It was divided into three directions such as drug manufacturing, drug care and drug research;China′s higher pharmaceutical professional training were divided into training research talents and professional talents; the school system were extended to carry out continuing education model. Conclusion It is necessary to strengthen the cultivation of professional pharmaceutical talents and the humanities of them to improve the effective combination of med-ical treatment and clinical guidance and ensure the medical treatment of the patients.关键词
