Abstract
Objective:To compare the differences of thoracic radiology between patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and those with simple pulmonary tuberculosis,and to improve the understanding of AIDS and pulmonary tuberculosis among clinicians and radiologists. Methods:The clinical manifestation of 26 patients with AIDS complicated with pulmonary tuberculosis was analyzed and compared with those of 50 cases of simple pulmonary tuberculosis in the same period. Results:Of the 26 cases of AIDS complicated with pulmonary tuberculosis,17 cases occurred in non-primary sites of pulmonary tuberculosis,17 cases involved two or more lung segments;15 cases showed small patches of thin film,12 cases with diffuse miliary nodules. Thirty-seven cases of pulmonary tuberculosis occurred in the posterior lobe of the upper lobe and the dorsal segment of the lower lobe,in 35 cases, only one lung segment was involved. 30 cases had fibrous proliferative foci and 26 cases had one or more cavities. There was significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion:There are differences in the location and imaging features of the lesion between patients with and without pulmonary tuberculosis. The chest radiographs of AIDS complicated with pul-monary tuberculosis are more diverse and atypical. The clinicians and radiologists should be alert.关键词
