Design and Implementation of a PWM Based Sensor Readout Circuit

Abstract
A novel sensor readout circuit is developed by improving the traditional PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) circuit.In the novel circuit,duty cycle and frequency synchronous modulation are adopted instead of duty cycle modulation.In the process of signal transmission,two input voltage signals can be modulated onto a PWM signal.The voltages of two input signals can be retrieved by demodulating the PWM output.Experimental results show that the PWM duty cycle and frequency of the proposed circuit have good linear relationship with the two input voltage signals,respectively.And the signal conversion accuracy reaches to 0.34% and 0.26%,respectively.In addition,the proposed circuit has advantages of a strong anti-interference ability,high conversion accuracy and low cost,which is more suitable for sensor signal processing and pickup.关键词
