Effects of Kruppel-Like Factor 15 on Fat Deposition and Muscle Fiber Types and Its Possible Mechanism
摘要
Abstract
Kruppel-like factor 15 (KLF15) is a recently discovered member of Kruppel-like factors (KLFs) family,which serves as an important transcription factor,and is expressed in a variety of tissues.KLF15 was reported to promote fat deposition and type Ⅰ muscle fiber gene expression,and some other meat quality associated genes were also found to be regulated by KLF15.Study on the effects of KLF15 gene on fat deposition and muscle fiber types and its possible molecular mechanisms can provide a new thread of thought for improving the meat quality.This review summarized the discovery,structures and distribution of KLF15 and its roles in lipid deposition and type Ⅰ muscle fiber.关键词
