Study on Preparation and Performance Test of the Flexible Explosive with Higher Energy, Lower Sensitivity

摘要

Abstract

In order to meet the XX explosive reactive armor's demands for higher energy and lower sensitivity,and based on the study of how to cause the mixture explosive to achieve higher energy,insensitive,flexible ultra-fine HMX,paraffin wax,Estane-5703 and DOSwere selected as the main explosive,blunt agent,binder and plasticizer respectively.A series of flexible explosive formulations which met its energy requirement were designed,the explosive were prepared by direct method.The formula of the flexible explosive was determined by friction sensitivity and impact sensitivity,it was shown as follows:HMX ∶ Estan-5703 ∶ paraffin ∶ DOS=91.5% ∶ 3% ∶ 3.5% ∶ 62%.At the same time the flexibility and detonation velocity were tested.Test results show that The impact sensitivity of this explosive is 8%,its friction sensitivity is 12%.It has certain flexibility and its detonation velocity,which is 7 108 m/s,when its density is 1.40 g/cm3.All the data shows that this formula meets the demands of the flexible explosive.
