Survey on mastering status of related knowledge on AIDS for nursing students in vocational school and strate- gies

Abstract
Objective To investigate the mastering status of related knowledge on AIDS for nursing students in voca-tional school and find out strategies. Method Investigate 685 nursing students from Tongxiang Secondary School of Health Sciences chosen by cluster random sampling on mastering status of related knowledge on AIDS by self-designed question-naire. Result 685 valid questionnaires are received. Awareness rate of behaviors causing AIDS is generally low for nursing students in vocational school. Awareness rate of knowledge on AIDS is relatively low. Awareness rate of occupational pro-tection in further work is also low. Society propaganda, television broadcasting and internet are the main way for nursing students to acquire knowledge on AIDS. Conclusion Nursing students investigated have some knowledge on AIDS. But the awareness rate is low and students lack related protection knowledge. School should develop education on AIDS by using all kinds of resources to improve students' cognition and protection ability.关键词
