Professor Yang Xiangdong's Experience in Treating Colorectal Cancer Pain

Abstract
Professor Yang Xiangdong is skilled in treating colorectal cancer pain with combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine,which is mainly through the combination of syndrome differentiation and disease differentiation,taking consolidifying and detoxifying,tonifying deficiency and benefiting qi,nourishing yin and strengthening the body resistance,regulating the bowels and fuorgans as the main treatment,and applying these methods flexibly at different stages.Professor Yang Xiangdong believes that the syndrome differentiation of the cancer pain requires tight master of the najor category and simultaneous consideration of the detailed.During syndrome differentiation,toxicity is first differentiated,which is "mastering the major category".In this process,special attention needs to be paid to different treatments according to the patients' constitutions and tolerance to the drugs and external treatment methods,so as to make clear the different treatments of purging toxicity,resolving toxicity and discharging toxicity.Professor Yang Xiangdong believes that among the current mainstream of the treatment for colorectal cancer,chemotherapy is a common means.Although it is effective,the purgative effects is sharp,and nostly with bitter and cold nature inducing impairment of stomach qi and kidney yang.The correct combined treatment should include three main objective purposes:l,to reduce the toxic and side effects of western medicine,2.to fight against tumor and cancer;3.to protect and consolidate healthy qi.Professor Yang usually make good use of insect drugs and attaches great importance to the external treatment of TCM,acupuncture therapy,etc..关键词
