Abstract
Objective:To investigate the hostile attribution bias and self—esteem in schizophrenic patients, and ex-plore their relationship. Methods:The hostile attribution bias and self—esteem were assessed in 102 schizophrenic pa-tients and 164 control participants with the Chinese—version of the Ambiguous Intentions Hostility Questionnaire (AIHQ—C)and the Rosenberg self—esteem scale(SES),additionally, schizophrenic patient group were evaluated with the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale(PANSS)and were divided into two groups i.e.the patients with per-secutory delusions(n=60)and the patients without persecutory delusions(n=42),the difference of the hostile attri-bution bias and self—esteem in these two group was analyzed. Results:Compared with the control group, the patient group had significantly higher AIHQ—C perceived Hostility bias(HB)(t=13.635,P<0.01),Blame bias(BB)(t=4.438,P<0.01),and Aggression bias(AB)(t=5.634,P<0.01)scores,and had much lower SES score(t=-5.068,P<0.01).Similarly,the patients with persecutory delusions had higher AIHQ—C perceived HB(t=-4.395,P<0.01), BB(t=-6.680,P<0.01),AB(t=-3.954,P<0.01)scores,and much lower SES score(t=2.180,P<0.05)than those without persecutory delusions.Pearson correlation analysis showed that the AIHQ—C perceived HB,BB and AB score was negatively correlated with SES score(r=-0.249,-0.209,-0.203;P<0.05),and was positively correlated with PANSS total score(r=0.275,0.286,0.413;P<0.01),positive scores(r=0.353,0.341,0.351;P<0.01)and par-anoia sub—scores(r=0.240,0.316,0.314;P<0.05).The score of AIHQ—C perceived AB in patient group was pos-itively correlated with PANSS depression sub—score(r=0.243,P<0.05).Conclusion:The schizophrenic patients, especially patients with persecutory delusions, show significantly higher hostile attribution bias and lower self—es-teem than the control group. The hostile attribution bias are negatively associated with self—esteem.关键词
