The Attention Bias to Negative Pictures in College Students with Test Anxiety

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the attention bias to affective information in college students with test anxiety. Methods:The 2 cue validity(valid,invalid)×2 groups(low test—anxious group,high test—anxious group)hybrid de-sign was employed to investigate the attention bias to affective pictures in 45 college students with test anxiety,a-dopting the dot prode paradigm.Results:The repeated—measures ANOVA on reaction times(RTs)showed that RTs on valid trials(x=397.13)was less than RTs on invalid trials(x=425.85)in high test—anxious individuals and showed significant difference(F(1,43)=7.37,P<0.05,η2=0.28),whereas there was no difference in low test—anxious individuals under the same condition.Conclusion:The study provides evidence of that attention bias to nega-tive information in high test—anxious individuals mainly is showed in attention disengagement.关键词
