Energy Efficiency Analysis and Optimization for Decode-and-Forward Relay Transmission System

Abstract
This paper studies the Energy Efficiency(EE) of Decode-and-Forward One-Way Relay Transmission (DFOWRT) and Decode-and-Forward Two-Way Relay Transmission (DF-TWRT) systems under strict delay constraint.It maximizes the EE by jointly optimizing the transmission time and the transmit power.By expressing the transmit powers as the functions of the transmission time through the channel capacity and Signal-to Noise Ratio (SNR) expression,it turns the joint optimization problem to an optimization problem with two decision variables.It uses the theory of extreme values of multivariate functions and gradient descent algorithm to find the optimal transmission time which can minimize the energy consumption,and gives the algorithm of the energy consumption minimum.Simulation results show that DFTWRT mode is fit for the application situation of rate asymmetry,DF-OWRT is fit for the situation of the terminal with mobility.关键词
