Design and Implementation of Vehicle Length Measurement System Based on Embedded System

Abstract
In view of the requirements of modern society parking charge system, as well as limit of the height of the vehicles on the road, a vehicle length measurement system is designed based embedded vehicle.There is a coil that is connected to a digital vehicle detector on the toll station to supervise whether the vehicles arrive.When the detector senses vehicles` arriving, the USB camera is made to take pictures of vehicles, using SOCKET communication send pictures to the PC, and the whole process of acquisition of vehicles` pictures is operated under Linux system.When the PC receives the picture, the judgement of the vehicles can be made through arithmetic of background difference method, the acquisition of the vehicles` modules is made automatically, and the efficiency of the work is improved effectively.The system has been used in the parking lot and the filed of judging the modules of vehicles.关键词
