Uneven clustering routing algorithm for WSN based on energy iteration

Abstract
Energy hole is one of the key problems in wireless sensor networks (WSN).This paper proposed an uneven clustering routing algorithm based on energy iteration.Firstly,the algorithm reduced energy consumption by decreasing the number of iterations and selected the optimal cluster head by considering the speed of energy consuming and the distance between nodes and sink nodes.Secondly,the uneven clustering routing algorithm considered the influence of the distance between nodes and sink nodes and node density.The simulation results show that,when the maximum cluster radius R =50 m,the weight of factor α =0.4,the adjusting coefficient of cluster radius η=0.7,the algorithm achieves the optimal effect.The proposed algorithm prolonges the network life time by 125% and 136% than that of LEACH-E and LEACH algorithm.At the same time,it also avoids the generation of energy hole.关键词
