Analysis on Parking Searching Behavior and Travel Preference Based on Floating Parking Fees

Abstract
The floating parking charging varying with the dynamic parking demand can regulate the spatial and temporal distribution of traffic demand and keep the best parking utilization rate for the parking facilities.Thereby,it can reduce the searching traffic and achieve the balanced use of parking resources.Based on a survey carried out in the central business district of Beijing,this paper analyzed the parking searching behavior and the parking and travel choice preference under floating parking charging for the roadside parking lots.Considering the parking searching process,a calculation formula for parking cost was constructed to analyze the relationship among parking fees,parking utilization rate and parking searching time.The mechanism underlying the parking choice behavior under the floating parking fees was further revealed.Finally,a roadside floating parking fee scheme was given.The research conclusions would have a certain reference value for the parking process analysis and floating parking pricing.关键词
