Abstract

In large-inclined-angle "three-soft" coal seam, the severe deformation in the surrounding rock of roadway made support more difficult. In order to improve the control effect of this kind of roadway surrounding rock, a mechanical model of the roadway surrounding rock was established, through which the stress of roof, two sides and floor of the roadway was analysed systematically, and the key parts and main factors affecting surrounding rock deformation were determined. Combined with the change characteristics of bending strength in different layer combination in the roadway with com-posite roof , the enhanced supporting mechanism of the key parts of the roadway was analyzed, and the combined support technology ideas of "strengthening-sides-reinforcing-roof and strengthen-ing-roof-protecting-sides" was put forward. The engineering practice has shown that the application of the enhanced support technology in key parts with rational layer selection effectively and significantly improves the overall carrying capacity of roadway in large-inclined-angle three-soft coal seam, and the roadway surrounding rock deformation is reduced by more than 80%.
