Abstract

In order to further improve the breakable bolt element based on FLAC3D, the defects of the breakable bolt element with the arbitrary elements elongation as the breaking criterion were analyzed. The bolt breaking criterion was proposed based on the whole elongation rate of the free segment of the bolt, which modified the original breakable bolt element. The tensile test of bolt was carried out and the results show that the modified breakable bolt element conformed to reality better. Based on the practical engineering background of deep mining, the numerical simulation analysis was performed. The results show that the built-in cable element in FLAC3D has no breakable property and will endanger the support design; all of the bolts were broken prematurely in the original scheme of breakable cable element and the actual anchoring effect was suppressed; the modified breakable cable element can reflect the actual anchoring effect accurately and conform to the engineering practice better. The further orthogonal ex-periment was carried out, and the results show that the bolt broken failure rate significantly increases with the enlargement of the row/column spacing of bolts, and first increases and then declines with the increase of the anchorage length and prestress. The effect of prestress was relatively the most indistinc-tive. At last the optimization principle of anchoring parameters in deep mine was proposed.
