Professional Identity of Midwifery Undergraduates and Its Influence Factors

Abstract
Objective To understand the professional identity of midwifery undergraduates and to analyze its influence factors. Methods Professional Identity Scale for midwifery undergraduates was used to investigate 300 midwifery undergraduates in a medical college and multivariate stepwise regression analysis to analyze its influence factors. Results The total score of professional identity was 99.26 ±7.96; multivariate stepwise regression analysis indicated registered residence, reasons for choosing the major, family monthly income and academic performance were the main influence factors of undergraduates' professional identity(P<0.05). Conclusion The professional identity score of midwifery undergraduates is high and registered residence, reason for choosing the major, family monthly income and academic performance are its influence factors. Students in favor of the major and those from developed areas are the first choice for recruitment. Strengthening the education of professional identity and targeted strategies are conducive to promoting students' professional identity.关键词
