Abstract
Although with abundance of natural resources, Latin American countries failed to establish a development mode that would enable them to escape from the traps of poverty and authoritarianism due to the existence of extractivism and neoextractivism.As a mode of accumulation, extractivism distorts the structure of economy and allocation among production sectors, as well as aggravating disbalance of renenues and payments.Despite the fact that several Latin American countries with progressive government have become aware of the disease and have made some vital changes to certain elements of extractivism, neoextractivism maintains and reproduces key elements of the extractivism that dates back to colonial times.Therefore, one of the most complex tasks is to design and implement a strategy that will lead to a post-extractivist economy, to offer an "alternatives to development", an option that is radically different to current development ideas.关键词
