交易成本与家庭农场合约稳定性——基于对111个家庭农场的调查
Transaction cost and contract stability of family farms: Based on the survey data of 111 family farms

Abstract
As one type of new agricultural business entities, family farms are engaged in moderate scale operation. Family farms obtain critical resources for development through land transfer contracts and employment contracts. The stability of these contracts directly affect resource availability and sustainability of family farms. Based on the transaction cost theory, this paper conducted an empirical study on family farms' contract stability and their inlfuencing factors based on a survey data of 111 family farms. Results show that 75.7 % family farms choose the formal land transfer contract and 56.8% family farms choose to hire long-term workers. In addition, further analysis reveals that transaction costs have some impacts on contract stability of family farms. Results also indicate that land transfer mode, infrastructure cost in initial investment, the term of land transfer, and tenure security have signiifcant impacts on the selection of formal land transfer contract. While the proportion of family labor input, land area, family farms' main residence, and the type of family farms have significant impacts on hiring long-term workers. To promote the development of family farms, this paper provides the following suggestions: 1) from micro-management level, family farms should choose appropriate contract management mechanism according to the speciifc characteristics of their assets, and try to live on the farms to reduce the information asymmetry; and 2) from macro-policy aspect, the government should improve agricultural infrastructure and provide stable policy environment for the development of family farms.关键词
