Abstract
A Rose for Emily is one of William Faulkner's best-known short stories,whose gothic style and suspense dissolve in the arrangement of time,until the last partof the truth was revealed.The performance of the plot is derived from the originality of the author alone.The plot of Emily's life in five parts and the function and indicator contained in it are developed on the basis of the traditional plot view,which reflects Faulkner's plot view and his intention to set up the plot,and the life of the heroine Emily's tragedy.关键词
